Differentiation |
Children in a class are often in different places in terms of what they know. One child may know more about leaf structure than another child who has been more interested in atoms. It is quite possible that both children know more or less about a topic than a syllabus may assume.
Differentiation is a teaching strategy that the teachers at APL Global School use to reach every learner regardless of what they already know about a specific topic. Teachers using differentiation assess student needs and skills before a concept is taught to ensure that the lesson offers something valuable to every single student in the classroom.
By figuring out how each student learns best, their current knowledge level in different subjects, students’ own perceptions of their strengths and weaknesses, using different teach styles, our teachers tailor lessons and challenges that provide enrichment for all students in a class.
